about

12seconds.tv was a website and community where you could post videos with a 12-second limit. During the 50/90 Challenge of 2008 I posted a series of 12-second songs which I then hacked together into a 3-minute album called 12x12 on YouTube (youtu.be/-T8TpgG60Do). I perform the whole album live quite a lot.

Track Name: Zipper Flies
Buttons connect me to a bygone age of boots and jeans and dust and roads, but zipper flies bring a tear to my eye.
Track Name: Man Bag
Given the choice between cargoes and a man bag I'd take the man bag every time.
Track Name: Unmute
If you could unmute the silent film, would you hear the director shouting?
Track Name: Shirt
That was my favourite shirt, the one with the ink stains on the inside of one arm and the dog-eared collar.
Track Name: Unique
You're unique. If anyone were like you they'd be unique too.
Track Name: Mr Ukulele
Mr Ukulele attaches an emotion to each string then carefully strums his way through a particularly tricky tune.
Track Name: M.O.R.
Walking down the middle of the road, I'm walking down the middle of the road.
Track Name: Saw
I saw a man play the saw but I don't know if he saw me.
Track Name: Oranges or Carrots
In the colour space of the modern kitchen there is no more difficult decision than "oranges or carrots?"
Track Name: Not My Forte
It's not my forte. I think I'll pass. I'm only really comfortable with things I'm already good at.
Track Name: Virgin Trains
Virgin Trains don't have the confidence of older, more experienced trains.
Track Name: Moleskine
I got a Moleskine. It tells me what to think about. Keeps me busy when the power runs out.
